Yes, if it hadn't been so frightening, I'd say it was incredible. I remember I didn't scream right away, because I was trying to comprehend what I was seeing.
Sean is a great writer and a good friend; he made an excellent recommendation. I love a story that doesn't have an ending but simply records a phenomenon and the rest is left to the reader's interpretation and imagination. Thank you, Jennifer.
Just wonderful. Those real life glimpses of strange things are weirder than any fiction we can imagine. You've inspired me to try my hand at this kind of piece!
I think my brother experienced some strange things but nothing like this. I'll have to have a chat with him and see if he'll let me write one of his stories.
There was one other occurrence. It happened around the same time as this one, and it was witnessed by a guy I dated in high school. No apparition, though.
hellllllll
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Thanks for reading, Kate.
Holy cow that’s terrifying.
Thanks for reading, Shawn.

You're very welcome, Sandy. Thank you for reading. Sean is very kind in his recommendations.
I also enjoy stories with open endings, but I know some people are very bothered by that. To each their own.
Glad to have you here.
Chilling! I had night terrors as a kid, and this would have ended me!
Thank you, Liz! I had night terrors, too, though I prefer them to the waking nightmare that was this moment.

Thank you, Jean! Yes, these experiences hit different.
I'm glad you want to write one of your own. I'd love to read it.
It'd be great to see a collection of strange nonfiction from Substack writers. They'd make some excellent reading around the fire or at Halloween.
Yes, I'd read that! I suspect more people have had these kinds of experiences than we think. It's not always comfy to take a good look at them.
Very true. It was strange to revisit my experience. I hadn't thought about it in years, probably because I like to sleep at night.
Oh hell nah! 😭😭🙏 Prayers would’ve been said and repeated until the morning. Goosebumps just from reading.
Thank you! I'm sure I did a lot of praying that night. Thank God I never saw anything like that again. I hope I never do.
Ahhh! This is so scary. Did anybody else see creepy things at that house?
Thanks, Sean!

I might have to write that one down, too.
