What kind of a place is this?

First, it’s a place for me to share my short stories, both fiction and creative nonfiction. My quest as a writer is the true, well-written tale.

While no genres are off the table, most of my stories can be classified as magical realism, fantasy, and horror.

This is where I get my work in front of readers, explore themes and style, and where I learn from and experience community with other writers.

Second, it’s an account of my struggle to create a quiet place within myself so I can be the reader and writer I want to be. Years of motivation and creativity have been swallowed up in a blue-light algorithm world, and I’m sick to death of it.

My efforts to make change and find quiet are covered in my nonfiction pieces.

I’m not an expert. I can only share my experiences: what I try, when I succeed, and when I fail.
