Hello, readers! Just a quick announcement regarding the direction of this Substack:

My first love is writing fiction. Always has been. The journey to embracing silence and ridding myself of distraction, while imperfect, has focused my life enough to show I’m not prioritizing my creative writing, and I want to be. So, going forward, I’ll be sharing it here in the form of short stories.

I know some of you didn’t subscribe for that, and I want to assure you that I’ll still be writing about my adventures into the Friendly Darkness (posts detailing my move from smartphone to dumbphone upcoming). Any fiction will be labeled in the tagline along with the genre, so feel free to ignore or delete if that’s not your thing.

If you are interested, then I invite you to read, comment, and offer constructive criticism, privately or publicly. I’m here to grow as a writer, and nothing helps so much as seeing my work through other eyes. I write horror, gothic, fantasy, realism or anything that comes into my head. My main goal is a well-told story.
